I replied to your chicken broth woes on the other post under cooking tips, check it out.
1, 2a, 3) I don’t recommend nuts as part of your treatment until you are in stage 2; the reason is because nuts contain mold and can significantly set back your progress. The same goes for seeds. Candida is a fungi and guess what fungi can feed on easily? Other fungi (aka mold). All dried food items contain mold. If you check out the foods list from able (the strict forum diet) this has no nuts or seeds in it.
2) Quinoa is rather high in starch content and I place it in the same category as rice…slightly bad for the diet. You need to remove as many sources for candida to feed as possible and this is one of them. Buckwheat is a good alternative and tastes better in my opinion; buckwheat is only 25% starch. Quinoa is not on able’s food list.
2a) Fresh almond butter last for 1-2 weeks or so before getting a higher mold content; when that happens, you’ll get a reaction to it.
Stages for recovery:
stage 0: cleanse
stage 1: long term strict diet
stage 2: less strict diet and can eat things like rice, fruit, molds more often. Cheating won’t set you back much at all at this stage.
stage 3: regular healthy diet that is not a candida diet or a western diet.
