My feeling is that antibiotics are for only when you really need them. After all, excessive use of antibiotics is what got you here in the first place and is only going to make things worse. Throat infections can be dealt with without antibiotics fairly easily. Candida infestations… not so much. If I were you, and keep in mind I’m not an expert, I’d hold off on beginning the diet completely and get rid of the infection without antibiotics (because beginning the diet will flood your body with die-off which will make fighting an infection much more difficult). When the infection is gone, I’d start the diet.
