I hate to disagree with the other two posters, but why put off the diet? It’s not going to hurt you, even if you’re on antibiotics, and it might actually help your system deal with the effects of the antibiotics more effectively. You can always go back to the beginning (again) after the meds are done. I have had to be on antibiotics twice in the past year, and during those times, I made sure my diet was even more strict than usual, since I knew that the candida had an edge during that time. I was vigilant about taking probiotics (and eating fermented veggies) and no sweeteners, and so far, there has been no noticeable candida symptoms related to the antibiotics (I took the last one about a month ago). I’m still consuming more probiotics than usual. I’d rather stay on the strict diet an extra week to 10 days (the length of the course of antibiotics), than allow candida to increase while I’m on the treatment for another infection. Just my two cents!
