Research says that Myokymia or eye twitching is due to either a calcium or magnesium deficiency. Other studies have also shown that they’ll twitch from a vitamin B12 (cobalamin) deficiency, so most people don’t know which deficiency or deficiencies they have without being tested. Since you don’t eat dairy, it could be calcium, but you also don’t eat a lot of nutrient mineral-rich vegetables containing magnesium. “Soft” fish containing edible bones such as sardines canned in oil are usually rich in both calcium and magnesium, and tuna is quite rich in magnesium.
Good luck to you on your journey.
