Here are some questions I PM-ed Able900 with… which he helpfully replied and I thought I’d share in case some one was wondering the same things!
I was just wondering, after giving your candida protocol and the threads a read, whether or not there is a reason you exclude garlic from your liver flush drink ingredients used in the cleanse?
The idea of a cleanse is to detoxify the body; that means you’re trying to remove toxins from your body. Garlic is an a fairly strong antifungal, and antifungals create Candida toxins called aldehydes for the liver and kidneys to clear out. As I already stated, the idea of a cleanse is to “remove” toxins and not to create more.
And also, whether you would be able to give insight from your experience as I have extensive hair loss because of candida on what I should be supplementing when I am in the diet stage? Biotin? The doctor says my iron levels and thyroid are fine from blood tests, so I’m confused as to whether or not I have a leaky gut/malabsorption problem. I know there could be numerous possibilities out there, but any rough ideas?
Able900: Hair loss is caused both by the Candida infestation an thyroid problems because of the Candida overgrowth in the body causes an imbalance of hormones.
Curing the infestation is the only way to stop the problems that result from the infestation.
I also wanted to ask if the veggie broth from the website can be used in your version of the cleanse, as it contains celery and onions and garlic which I do not see on your allowed list.
In the Cleanse link you’ll see a list of green vegetables that are acceptable for a cleanse. As I stated earlier, antifungals should be avoided as much as possible during a cleanse. Juicing green vegetables is much more beneficial if you want to do a good cleanse. Remember that a cleanse can last just one day depending on your food and nutrient needs.
