Plain yogurt has 5 g of Lactose by cup, instead, Kefir has around 2 g by cup.
Yogurt is fermented with only bacteria. (2 species) Kefir is fermented with several bacteria species and yeast. Yogurt is fermented for longer time than kefir. Kefir is almost lactose free. Yogurt has more lactose.
