Avoid synthetic birth control. It’s got too many negative side effects, from cancer to blood clots, the list goes on. I know how difficult it can be to come off of BC pills. It’s the only thing that will salvage the hair I am currently losing, but I am not willing to destroy my health just for my hair.
I read a book by Dr. John Lee regarding hormones and he mentions how PCOS can be managed with dietary changes like the ones you mentioned, eliminating sugar and carbs. I have many PCOS symptoms too, but my doctor has ruled it out. I’m thinking it may take your body a long time to make the proper adjustments to the diet you’re on.
