The mucus comes from a LOT of things: eggs, potatoes, bread, cheese, pasta, beer, juices (orange, carrot, etc.) I also have a lot when I wake up in the morning (especially after drinking wine the night before.) I’m hoping to just cut it all out & start from scratch & really listen to my body this time.
Good to know about Kombucha because I love it!
I’ll stay away from Nutritional Yeast (although I love it on popcorn!) as well as Tempeh & Braggs (they are fermented, which is supposed to be okay ~ as well as miso~ but I don’t want to take any chances.) I can use coconut aminos & I don’t need the other stuff.
I’ll watch the Quinoa. I don’t eat it too often, but it looks like maybe the way to deal with grains is to rotate them so your body doesn’t get used to them. The only thing is, (with my experience with wheat) that you can have a reaction up to 72 hours after consuming it, which makes things tricky. So maybe I’ll stick with one grain at first, then add another & so on & rotate eventually. I’m not sure if I’ve ever tried buckwheat other than as a pasta. I’ll have to give it a try after my cleanse.
