First of all, I ordered the Candida Immune Complexes test (although I haven’t received a confirmation yet).
Question about Stevia: I have Stevita which also includes erythritol. You said stay away from xylitol. I know that bacteria can break down the alcohols even though we can’t, although I don’t know whether yeast do or not. Is the erythritol okay? Alternatively, there is a stevia that includes maltodextrin. Is THAT okay?
I already was taking antifungals in the form of Aloe Vera juice (2 oz twice a day), oregano oil (5 drops 2x day), SF722 (2 with each meal 3x day), and eating coconut and olive oils. (Did you really mean 10 to 12 spoonfuls of coconut oil a day?! I don’t think I could get that much in me!) I’ve been on a diet since Sunday as well, although I only just read more carefully through the info on diet on thecandidadiet.com site and discovered a few things I was eating that I thought was okay wasn’t. I have now eliminated them. I’m going to add a caprylic acid softgel with each meal next week and am considering working in grapefruit seed extract.
As far as symptoms, I think the GI symptoms MAY be a little better but I think my head symptoms (drugged feeling, etc.) MAY be a little worse. But it is hard to be sure because my symptoms go up and down anyway so I’m never sure if I’m just going through a worse period or if whatever protocol I’m doing is to blame.
Stevia with Erythritol is ok. The reason I told you stay away from Xylitol isn’t the sugar alcohol but the antibacterial activity. You have your bacterial profile low, so it is good idea to use the less offenders. For this same reason I will leave Oregano Oil, GSE, and Caprylic Acid out. Keep the treatment with SF-722 and Coconut Oil for now.
Candida don’t use alcohol to growth but Maltodextrin is one of the worse in this matter. Nothing that has Maltodextrin is allowed.
Regarding to the diet, ask Able900 that sends you the list these guys here have created. I understand the website diet isn’t the most reliable of the diet around.(I have never read it ) but that is what most people say in the forum. However, I read the diet these guys had here in the forum, I find it a good one.
I hope this help you.
Did you order the test from Genova Lab ??? If so, ask them you need they look for complexes. If they are only looking for antibodies ( IGG, IGA, IGM ) that isn’t what you need. I have to check the test description in Genova Lab again because it looks like they have changed some things. I let you know.
Ok, I saw the website and they are giving almost no information. You have to call because you don’t need an antibody panel that can be get from any local Lab such as Quest Diagnosis or Lab Corp. You need the immune complexes ( Candida Antigen, Candida IGG, and the complexes ) If it isn’t this test, you are losing your money.
