The bile won’t turn brown unless it’s metabolised by the bacteria in your intestines though, so that’s likely more your problem since you’re on this site. Restoring a healthy gut flora should restore a healthy brown stool.
I’d guess the dairy changes the colour since the delayed transit time allows more time for the bacteria to metabolise the bile. Perhaps your usual transit time is too fast? It should be around 24-hours. It’s possible to check by taking a charcoal capsule.
I agree with Javizy to look into your transit-time too. While on the diet here, which is a high fiber diet, I had diarrhoea, yellow stool, very high transit time only some hours(4 to 5 hours) and the food eaten came out us poorly digested stool. All the month I had yellow greenish stool. Now, after I figured out that I dont have Candida but IBS and a form of IBS where you as a treatment should eat low fibre. My transit-time changed to 12 hours, diarrhoea stopped and my stool is brown.
