I would completely eliminate pork or beef because this causes heartburn. I cheated on mothers day and had some bacon and had some heart burn…you won’t have it ever again if you eat chicken, turkey, buffalo, lamb, seafood, etc. Cause and effect right here! It also takes 1-2 days to digest beef/pork while it takes only 4 hours to digest seafood or chicken. If you want to heal leaky gut you need to get your digestion to improve as much as possible.
A simple way to heal leaky gut is prebiotics, probiotics, and fiber (FOS). Good sources of FOS include artichokes, oat bran, and miracle fiber which you can add to your breads, yogurt, etc. You also need to reduce the inflammation of the gut by taking (fermented) cod liver oil or anti-inflammatory foods such as broccoli, fish, blueberries, etc.
