One thing that should happen over time is that your body should naturally get to the correct pH with the diet. While my naturopath has stated that I should focus on getting less acidic in time, he hasn’t prescribed me anything that will change the pH levels in my body as far as I know.
There is also a different pH for urine, blood, intestines, skin, etc so its hard to say what is out of balance and whether you need to make it more acidic or alkaline.
pH and acidic vs. alkaline is definitely something we’ve debated on the forum a few times and able has a strong opinion about why its silly to try to change the pH of the body.
I personally used to hyperventilate for hours when I’d get an allergic reaction and baking soda water definitely cured it very quickly. I didn’t do this very much because, in time, the reaction wasn’t as bad.
