Practically every substance, reaction and function in the body has some tie with, relation to, or reliance upon methylation. That doesnt make them all methylation substances. Its pretty cut and dry what is and isnt. Study the the diagram of the methionine and folate cycles. Anything that a person can take that is a direct part of those 2 cycles is considered a methylation supplement. There are other substances that are methylated, like CoQ10 or L-Carnitine, but are not “methylation supplements”.
Its not very difficult to understand it completely, I could probably, face to face, teach someone how the cycle works to a level of complete understanding in a couple of hours. The discrepancy occurs in deciding which snp’s are pertinant and the best ways to go about treating them.
Thats a naive question, its the human body, everything affects everything.
I wouldnt call glutamine a methylation supplement any more than I would call it a stomach acid supplement or anything else. Honestly, its so ridiculous that I wouldnt really waste my time arguing if it wasnt for other people that dont know reading this.
