Thanks for the quick reply Able. Can you recommend a good brand and place to purchase these? We have several local health food stores here as well as a Fresh Market, which might carry the Starter kit. Or, I can order online if there’s a better option.
Yes you can purchase commercial, premade kefir, but I doubt it would be worth the time and money. Starter kits are easy to use and relatively cheap compared to the amount of kefir you can make with these packs, and it’s a better quality; plus you have control over how long it’s fermented. And you certainly don’t have to “tend” to it at all since you need to leave it alone for 24-32 hours.
