In the past, I tried methyl b12, it made me feel weird. It was making me irritable.
Now I am taking Parque Activated b12 guard ( b12 hydroxy). I am able to tolerate this.
I have a couple of questions.
COMT V158 M and COMT H62H which I have homozygous mutations. I understand these genes help to break down dopamine and norepinePhrine, which are not working properly in my case. As result I am lethargic which I really am and you also pointed out that. I do feel lack of energy. Is there way I can improve that?
As I have heterozygous mutation on MTHFR A1298C, should I try taking 5-MethyltetraHydrofolate ( folapro)? Do you think it is worth for me to try?
You misunderstood me, I was saying your enzyme function was lethargic. Which is not all bad either. It also offsets your mthfr mutation.
That irritable feeling is likely going to happen anytime you use a methyl donor. For that reason, stay away from methylfolate. Any vitamins you take should be non-methylated forms. You are actually pretty well off as far as the methyl cycle is concerned. You should work on that cbs upregulation. That might make you feel clearer, happier, and more energetic.
