Quick! This is exactly what happens to me when I have exams or essays coming up, the last two times it has happened, I, like you have desperately sought the answer in what I have eaten to trigger it and to cut it out immediately. I’ve ended up feeling scared and worried about eating anything.
My exams start in a week and I was going through a similar problem yesterday, had bad brain fog and completely constipated, which are the worst symptoms I’ve had in a long time. I know it makes you feel completely at a loss and as though you’re not moving forward at all but I think the important thing I’ve (finally) learnt is not to stress. Stress is definitely contributing if not largely causing the problem and by worrying what has triggered it you are making the situation worse. This morning I was nearly in tears with a painfully bloated stomach and feeling hopeless so I took the day off, slept and calmed down. It’s the evening now and I feel now almost back to normal. I know it doesn’t feel like it at the moment but we’re lucky being students in that we are able to take the time off to relax (even if we can’t really afford to)!
Remember eating the right vegetables and protein are not going to feed the candida and are absolutely vital not only to help you function to get you through your exams but to fuel your body into getting better.
I’ve heard this hundred times from my other people and am only just starting to listen!
Good luck with your exams and I hope you find food easier soon, I know it’s a miserable position to be in but it’s only temporary! xx
