Look at it this way: you are not eating any lemons. If I am correct, a one lemon has about 6 grams of sugar, right? So if you drink three lemons daily (what this diet suggests), this is 18 grams of sugar. And sometimes you would squeeze a lemon onto your salad of veggies, so that would make it 24 grams of sugar, right? So does a one tomato have less than that?
Honestly I ate tomatoes during my treatment, but limited myself to one smaller a day or half of large one. I still got better and am now like 90% symptom free. So I would test it and see how it goes. Since you are not consuming the amount of lemons the others are, my bet is that you would still consume less sugar than the rest of us 🙂
I think raster has like 25 grams of sugar per day rule or something. You can try to figure it out that way. You can have a tomato today and kick something else out that day, right?
