The way my naturopath looks at things is that there is your fire and your water. Your fire is you long term energy/strength reserve and your water is your short term energy reserve. If you support your water, then it will occasionally splash back into your fire and strengthen this reservoir.
You’ve(or candida) beat yourself so down over the years that it takes a lot of rest and proper treatment to replenish.
Thank you very much for your response. I like you naturopath’s description. I do think I am heading in the right direct, its just throwing up a lot of problems for me and often feels like 2 steps forward, 3 steps back, 5 steps forward, 2 steps back (i.e. my recovery/symptoms are all over the place and somewhat unpredictable).
I’ve had a hair test done, but unfortunately I have read that the results are far from reliable making it a somewhat futile and expensive exercise. I’m visiting a new naturopath tomorrow because I had some fundamental disagreements with my last one who think candida should be dead and gone after about a week or so. I will get her opinion on it all and hopefully get some kind of structured direction.
