Hi again. Thanks Hope! that was pretty much going to be my response, regarding the snacks. Most of them are totally stage 1, celery/almond butter for sure. I am working with a naturopath/herbalist, so there’s a few tweaks that might be a hair different but I’m pretty much following Stage one. The brownies/cookies are made with stevia/truvia/xyltitol. Funny, I’m realizing how much I “treat” myself now that I’m on this plan. I don’t normally eat brownies or cookies everyday.
Oh I guess the baking cocoa, black beans, and carob chips could be “no nos” for stage one.
Again the herbalist I’m working with ok’d (or even suggested) some of these things. I’m also taking anti-fungal supplements, but I have been very strict with the eating plan I’m on. I guess I’d say I’m also on the 1.5 stage.
At any rate, some of the things, like the quinoa bars and iced chai, I just whipped up. The herbalist actually gave me a little packet -maybe like 10 pages- of recipes. It’s at home (I’m at work)but I could scan and post it.
I was thinking of starting a blog, as I see some people have done here. Just to have a centralized place to put recipes, new food finds, etc. Maybe that will be a weekend project. I should write some of these things down for myself anyway, I have modified some of the recipes in the packet anyway adding more “killers” (coconut oil, cayenne pepper, etc).
Oh, thanks hope for the tip on the cardamom! I like my iced chai a lot (especially knowing it’s good for me, unlike normal iced chai) but I think that’s going to put it over the top!
