I did have a clear head during the initial stages of my Candida diet (which was mostly vegie broth, so I guess that would be why). Fiber seems to be a culpret, but I will play around a little to test this further.
However, if I do have SIBO, I should look into fixing it.
I googled around and found the SCD and GAPS diets; I will try those next. Both diets also cut out all sugar and grains, and I will try a candida friendly version of the diets (as I do have chronic thrush too).
Oh, how wonderful. I got tears in my eyes when I read that you felt better. Its a great start but we both have a road ahead of us. Lets not hope that we have SIBO but IBS. SIBO is a much harder fight than IBS.
Even I too felt great for 4 weeks I suddenly had a dip yesterday and the day before. Because I had 4 weeks of great time I nearly freaked out when the same stupid feelings arise in my body. Luckily I learned a hell of a lot things too about the mind. There are two things which helped me now.
EFT = Emotional Freedom Technical you can find a lot of free stuff on the net and it cost nothing only make sure you get the info from a guy called. Gary Craig. He is the creator of that technique and is not in for the money. He put his manual free on-line.
The next most important book I found to stay centred in what is and not getting lost in the chains of negative thoughts caring me away deeper and deeper into negative illusions is a very very good book called:
Get out of your mind & into your Life by Steven C. Hayes.
This is not some wired stuff. we all know the connection between the guts and the mental state. Even for healthy individuals. They can choke when they have to talk in-front of a crowed. We have heard about stage fright. That fear and negative thoughts can get you into brain fog, throwing u,p stomach cramps etc.
Fearing the upcoming exams can throw us into a feel of nausea, fear, stomach pain, depression etc.
Its all about chemicals in the body, we are energy when you look into us with the microscope. And the body doesn’t know what is real and what is not. He reacts with the fight or flight system pushing into us chemicals messing around with us.
My next advice is to learn about your inner person.
Than we have to figure out what additional food makes us sick. I am saving up money for an ELISA blood test and will start again with a food diary after I get my new book about IBS. Its called the first year with IBS. I will tell you guys how good it is. I have Professor Hunts book about IBS and he put me on the train about the fiber. Big thanks to him for that.
