I do understand what ” herd immunity” means. What I do know, is you did not read my previous post.
What are your thoughts on the fact that the FDA in our country used to say smoking was safe? People like the people on this forum are the ones that sounded the alarm so many years ago. And then when it was finally deemed unsafe, the FDA went fighting tooth and nail before putting warnings on labels. What about Nutrasweet, there are still no warning labels even though it causes a host of problems in lab animals, and humans in my experience. What about red dye number 5, known carcinogen, put in our food for years? They used to put a chemical on microwave popcorn that caused in the workers what they called “popcorn lung”. What about GMO’s, which our FDA deems as safe but Europe won’t allow in the food that U.S. companies produce and send there? They won’t even buy our alfalfa in Europe because of GMO’s and it may be that way with wheat and corn soon. They spray some of our food in suits that equivalent to hazmats suits, yes, I have seen it done. And THAT, is considered safe to eat! What YOU do not understand is that in America, it is MONEY that makes the world go round. There is stuff in our FOOD that I wouldn’t want in my body and this is stuff we are supposed to consume… Why would I trust them with anything else before studying it myself? Their studies and results consistently lean in the direction of the company or producer because they have the money. It would be simply idiotic to assume that they have my best interests at heart because they have demonstrated for years that they do not.
I think the FDA does serve as important purpose. I love that my food has labels that I can check. There are people on this website that do not have that luxury. HOWEVER, I do believe there are still substances in my food that are, at the very least, not healthy. In the country, people must be their own monitors, their own doctors. Doctors and the FDA are trained to do what they do by the industry and not by the rest of humanity.
My food advice to people has always been, if you wouldn’t feed it or give it to a small child, then don’t eat it yourself. I think if they advise pregnant women to take single dose vaccinations because it is safer then they should definitely be doing it for small children and perhaps for adults as well.
