The main and most noticeable reaction is with my tongue. It always seems coated white these days (since starting the diet) on the back of my tongue and sometimes feelsdry, as you’d expect. But some days it feels like its burning or being pinched nearer the tip and once it feels like that, its like that all day.
For example, yesterday morning I made another loaf of coconut bread, ie eggs, olive oil, alu-free baking soda, rosemary and coconut flour. I left out the salt. Whist in the oven I did oil pulling, had organic peppermint tea and then an omelette with spinach and asparagus, and vitamins / herbs, including grapefruit seed extract. When the bread was cool I had about an inch size piece of the bread and shortly after my tongue had that burning, pinching feeling. Then I had some kefir and 9tsp coconut oil and the feeling improved slightly but was there for the rest of the day.
I’ve had similar experiences with the yoghurt and kale. I’m not entirely sure about the salt so i’m working on testing that one.
My reactions definitely arent as extreme as yours. It usually affects my tongue, like when I had pea’s at the restaurant, plus a bit of headache and fatigue. Sometimes ear ringing and flatulence.
You mentioned mucuous and I get that with lemon drinks and the liver flush drinks, sometimes with my ear feeling like its a bit blocked. I assumed thats more like die off than an allergic reaction?
The hardest thing I find with this diet is working out the reactions. I think I’ve worked out what die off is now, as i’ve definitely experienced during the detox, occasionally with swede, and definitely with 11tsp coconut oil – extreme fatigue, nausea, tummy ache, ear ringing..
