Stress screws up everything. Given what it does to your brain, memory, heart, liver etc, candida symptoms could be the least of your worries in the long run. It’s putting your body on overdrive. Flooding your blood with glucose, exhausting antioxidants and depressing immunity isn’t a good way to keep an infection under control. But you’re doing this EVERY TIME you worry or get agitated. You might as well be downing a can of Coca-Cola.
It’s easy to believe worrying and getting annoyed is normal, but it’s not. You can turn it off whenever you want with the right awareness. It may take practice, but it’s very possible. What kind of meditation have you tried? The most helpful thing is being constantly aware of how you’re reacting and asking yourself if it’s reasonable or helpful for your condition. Doing this for a while completely breaks you out of the habit of reacting at all – you’ll start responding instead.
It all becomes easy as your general health improves and your brain and body is in better shape, but taking care of the psychological side now can be of great benefit.
