Holistic Health Journal
So I just got back from my appointment with my doctor and I wanted to update you guys on what I’m going to be doing. I still want your guys’ thoughts on what he’s having me do. So just a quick recap of my candida treatment so far: I took a stool test which came back with severe candida (+3/4). My doctor put me on liquid nystatin for a total of 18 days, probiotics, and an anti-candida diet for 47 days total (until today.)
Now he’s having me stop all supplements and antifungals to give my GI system a break. He’s having me drink 1 ounce of aloe vera juice every 3 hours to soothe my whole GI. He said I should eat a little less, and to not stuff myself. I’m to do this for 2 weeks, and then I have another appointment on April 9, and I think I’m going to get another test ordered to see if this candida is gone or if I need another round of nystatin.
I also made a video to go along with this update, you can watch that here:
So yeah when I planned for this appointment I knew I was going to have to choose between sticking with my doctors recommendations, or go with The Candida Cure book in which she tells you to take PILL nystatin for 6-12 months. I’m still following the diet plan though. But my doctor is extremely confident in himself and he seems like he knows exactly what hes doing. He treats a lot of kids with autism (like me…I spose), and just lots of different people in general. So I’ve decided to stick with his plan for me, take it slow, and get tested. He says this is the only true way to know if you’ve beaten the candida or not. He says everybody is different so everybody needs a different treatment type, and everybody needs to get tested. There is no one program for all. He says when you read those testimonials online, you can’t ever expect to do what they did and get the same results.
What are your guys’ thoughts on all this? Thank you for any and all feedback.
