I am also wondering about this. Especially since I am having to consider introducing more carbs into my diet as this is just not working for me any more.
I had initially decided to be tough and soldier my way through; go through anything to heal myself. But now I am not so sure that I am actually healing. I have been putting up with the fatigue by trying to lessen the demands I put on myself: no more exercise, no more hobbies or socialising for the time being -I don’t have the energy. And that’s fine; it’s not going to be like this forever. I feel like I am sleep walking through my days, keep dozing off at work, and even that is bearable if it’s just for now and in time I will get better…
But. My body temperatures have been dropping significantly in the past two weeks. I need to measure these as I am already hypothyroid and on thyroid supplements for that. Right now I am down to 33.4 celcius and that is very low especially as it is summer! (approx. 92.12 farenheit). I was in pretty bad shape before starting on my thyroid medication and don’t want to go back there. Somehow the stricter the diet I am on the slower my metabolism gets, it seems. I will need to get more energy from my food somehow (of course it is possible that since my digestion is weak I am not digesting proteins properly and therefore not getting enough energy from that?). But right now I need to get my body temperatures up.
