I’d go easy on the nuts. They have a poor n-3:n-6 ratio, so you’d need to take a bunch of fish oil to balance it out. Roasting them can damage the fats too. They also contain extremely high amounts of phytic acid, which interferes with mineral absorption. An ironic example of this is wholewheat products that contain so much phytic acid that you end up absorbing less minerals than from refined grain products that barely contain any! Nuts kind of get a free ride as a health food. Not that they’re bad in moderation as part of a healthy diet, like with most wholefoods.
