Well now I need to defend the diet because it is not speculation. The food list able created is a great base diet to go by for recovering from candida. The foods he eliminated are largely necessary to remove if you want to heal as quickly as possible. The diet has been formulated by able’s personal experience in less than a year fighting candida, my personal experiences with severe leaky gut for 2 years, and 2+ years of forum member’s experiences with the diet.
If you want an idea of how many posts we have seen talking about people’s sensitivities or inability to heal while consuming nuts, fruits, rice, potatoes, beef, pork, etc. it would number in the hundreds. If you have any idea of how many people we have helped just by altering diet alone, I wouldn’t be able to count them all but its probably 50% of the active forum members.
The diet has a ton of prebiotics, probiotics, and anti-inflammatory foods which should be used as a general guideline.
What you need to figure out is what is best for you and your needs because we are all different. Try a week with the rice and a week without the rice. Try a week with the potato and without it. What you will generally see is that these items set you back. As you recover you can add these items in with little or no detriment, but starting out you could be set back in a major way from my experience.
