You have a mistake. A very restrictive diet isn’t the solution to this syndrome. You will complicate it more.
I believe I have some experience to say it.
How? Depriving the candida of food seems to be the only solution (coupled with antifungal/probiotic protocol, of course). I had nothing but problems until I start the super-strict diet…even being on a semi-strict diet gave me issues. Maybe it’s because I had really bad leaky gut, but even the smallest thing would cause me problems. It’s better to be safe than sorry while your body is healing.
From what numerous published sources have said and I have read (but not including forums, as they often contain bad information), Candida seems to go into a hibernation (dormant state) of sorts if it cannot get the resources it needs to survive. That includes the possibility that it may travel to find available food (resources). Given that statement, it would seem unlikely that starving it would work. It seems that it only buys the body time in order to built up defenses through probiotics as well as possibly destroy some through antifungals. Obviously this is speculation as well as nobody (including the medical community) seems to fully understand this condition (and many of them are in pure denial). My opinion seems more logical to me though as it follows other well known patterns of behavior such as viruses going dormant such as in herpes.
