Quote: “Here are a few more details of my symptoms and the (dumb) antibiotics. lol. okay, so I know they have their purposes, but I **really** don’t like to take them. Even before all this candida business, I avoid them like the plague unless they’re absolutely necessary.”
Hope, thanks for the explanation about the antibiotic, especially how it affected you, and man, it really did didn’t it. I can’t blame you at all as far as not liking (hating here) to take antibiotics. I’ve not had any type of antibiotic for over 15 years, and I’m certainly hoping I’ll never have to have another dose.
The reason I asked about them and how they affected you since you had Candida is this:
Over the weekend we went to a house I have on the lake. I needed to clean some brush away caused by a storm we had last week, and was really getting into the work when I realized that I had been reaching down and scratching my ankle for the last 10 minutes, so I sat down on a log and pulled my shoe and sock off. I had a nice red whelp-looking place a little over a half inch wide with two dots in the middle. I figured just some stupid little spider bit me and went on with the work thinking as soon as I took a break, I’d poor some alcohol on it. So, to make a long story short, right now this thing is over an inch long, a half inch wide, and about a half inch high. It’s now a super dark red color, and has two bumps right in the middle of the mound. It actually hurt some yesterday and last night, but not so much today, it’s mainly just itching like mad today. I kept one of those oversized band aids on it at the office today with alcohol on it, and couldn’t wait to get both the bandage and sock off once I was back home. I’m watching it closely to make certain there are no red lines starting to work their way out from the mound, and it really isn’t that swore today, just the entire area is swollen and an ugly red color. Since it’s gotten this large, I’ve constantly thought about the possibility of needing an antibiotic, but at the same time I’m thinking, “No way.” But if my foot starts to feel like maybe it’s gonna drop off at the ankle, I may reconsider. =D
Yes, as far as following the diet to perfection goes, those ‘trouble starters’ you mentioned were a headache to hunt down. Regular table salt in the homes of my friends and family and restaurants were a pain with the dextrose in every shaker. And I couldn’t find single toothpaste that didn’t contain one of the sugar alcohols that I had refused to eat. I ended up using baking soda mixed with hydrogen peroxide; the H202 makes a great mouth wash by the way.

I knew you were a smart girl .. lol. Good for you. I’m taking some extra Oil of Oregano and garlic pills myself since they’re supposed to combat infections.
By the way, congratulations on your 25th week. Pretty soon you’re gonna have 10 little feet scooting around your house instead of just 8. Listen to the pitter patter ….
Hey, you have yourself a great night.
