I am not able to eat many meats because of the gout. It really limits my diet.
I did buy whole garlic the other day. I have not tried it yet with anything as I have not been cooking. I have been buying the chicken to eat. I do plan to start with it though. The garlic softgels are almost out.
The problem is here in Ecuador (South America), there really are not that many options available for specialty health products. We are lucky to find peter pan in the grocery store (or if you do it is $6 or $7 for a small bottle). Imports here are severely restricted. The population here is not that wealthy in general so there is no way the average person could pay the high prices of healthy options and products so they are not made available.
I found the health store in the mall but as said, I am really not too confident in the things they are selling. Their labeling is very vague and imported from a US company. Probably vague on purpose. The yogurt I buy is sugar free (0g) and it has 7g of protein. How would a sugar free yogurt affect me unless it’s the other ingredients that I’m not aware of that are gotchas?
