Coconut oil is solid at room temperature (unless you live in a tropical environment without air conditioning). And the fact that it is organic and cold pressed is even better. 🙂 Use coconut oil as you would for cooking as well as in place of butter. It is an anti-fungal, among many other healing properties. You can also use it on your skin as moisturizer.
Sometimes you might see coconut butter, also known as coconut manna, which is made from the oil and the meat of the coconut and is white in color. It is a nice spread to put on pancakes and bread. But do be aware that if you are doing the strict diet, you cannot have the coconut manna right away.
