I was wondering if the burning might have been acid related. I used to get acid reflux which only bothered my throat and did not cause any heartburn. Fatty foods were what typically caused that to happen. Now I just get heartburn. Lack of stomach can cause that too. Anyways, if thats the case, then maybe you have 2 separate issues going on. Test the theory. Try the baking soda burp test a few times to see where your stomach acid is at. I would try to duplicate the problem some more with other things, it sounds like you may have. It could be just a die off reaction. It could be die off caused/made worse by acid reflux. It doesnt seem to be an intolerance, but that hasnt necessarily been ruled out yet. I always take the approach that anything is possible until proven otherwise. Just make sure before you try anything that you have thought of all possible consequences and its safe. The only to be sure of at this point is that your going through die off and your throat is inflamed. Idk, another way to look at would be discover what soothes it, if anything could. Just be smart and cautious, and consider any other problems that could be involved as well if you decide to go this route.
