I don’t understand everyone’s infatuation with carbs feeding candida. I feel that it is a silly thing to be worried about because guess what…candida can feed on just about anything! It can feed on carbs, sugar, meat, veggies, sugar, molds, dairy, starch…it’ll feed on just about everything you eat!
It’s all about feeding it less than before you did the diet and thats what the allowed foods list has to offer…a good safe list that will help your body recover with little drawback.
But guess what…oat bran and buckwheat are prebiotic foods! Prebiotic foods feed probiotics and beneficial bacteria in your gut, so if you cut these out, you aren’t going to feed your gut with much good much stuff at all! Its all about building the ecosystem in your body and these are great items to do it. Additionally, they help repair leaky gut which will eventually cure your allergies…
If you cut out everything that fed candida, you would have nothing left to eat other than water!
