Why would any type of living cell want to feed on something that’s toxic? If anything its going to try to pump it out of its cell/or try to develop resistance.

I was under the impression that candida didn’t “feed” off metals, but that it actually, in folks with a normal amount, chelates them. So when you have metal toxicity, they can go haywire because they’re supposed to help get the mercury etc out?
