Sorry if the following not is direct related to you question:

C. albicans makes methylmercury out of mercury, and some researches believe c. albicans uses this to destroy IgA receptors in the GI tracts wall – there by hindering the use of secreted (and very important) IgA antibodies in the intestine. Thereby inhibiting the overall imunne defence versus candida in you intestine.
