Second I figured out that I didn’t have candida but IBS. That particular diarrhoea form of IBS is cured only with a low fibre diet and I stopped with the diet here.
I don’t understand how this provides a cure. Isn’t it just symptom management, like low-FODMAP diets? IBS and IBD are clear signs of gut flora imbalance, which these diets don’t address. I suppose if all your symptoms have abated and you’re happy with your diet, there’s probably no harm continuing. I just wonder how your gut flora will shape up if you’ve started eating junk and avoiding all prebiotics.
in a way you are right. The low fibre is not feeding the bad bacteria and I feel already better. Professor John Hunter wrote in his book that my type of IBS is food intolerance related in combination of an bacterial unbalance after antibiotic cures.
To check for the food culprits was not possible for me before because I felt all the time terrible.
But you are right I have to do more than what I am in too now. I made a mistake today and got somehow brown rice into my system and got a reaction of heart palpations.
Otherwise I am so terrible happy to manage symptoms. Before the symptoms where managing me. Only the feeling of restored control and understanding of a pattern and a diagnosis already is doing me a hell of lot good.
But yes, I stretch forward eating kefir, yoghurt but no branflakes. Straight yoghurt that is. 🙂
