Where would I find ghee at? I looked everywhere with no luck.
I’m also curious as to why butter is banned. Is there sugar in it? I look on the packaging and it lists no sugar.
1.5 sticks of butter
1.5 cups of coconut oil
1 tsp of vanilla (I know this is actually banned because most extracts contain alcohol)
Stevia to taste
1. Blend together the eggs and vanilla.
2. Melt butter and coconut oil together.
3. Allow them to cool (otherwise it’ll cook the eggs).
4. Add butter/oil to blender and…blend.
5. Add stevia to taste.
6. Pour into a large glass pan.
7. Freeze for 6-8 hours.
Each batch has >.5g carbs per serving.
When you take it out, allow it to warm for about 15 minutes as it will be very hard. Now, if you’re an ice cream addict it may seem strange to you but I totally am one and I love the stuff. 🙂
Some people may be turned away by raw eggs. I guess it just depends. Salmonella is an issue on the SHELL and if you’re worried, wash the shell. Over my years of eating the things, I don’t recall getting poisoned by them. 🙂
