2 things to share here:
Im a caregiver to my 94 yr old grandmother. She used to take shots twice a day for her diabetes.
Since living with me, she now only takes the lowest dose glipiside pill once a day- and the doc says we can get off that too if she will be slightly more strict….like quitting icecream and chocolate.
Her diet in my house is high carb, fruit and veggies. She also does yogurt and meat sometimes.
Berries figure prominently in our diet here.
When my candida overgrowth was at its worse, one of the only things I could eat was berries.
Frozen mixed-berry medley of rasp, blue, and blackberries. I still have a berry smoothie every day.
Tdogg mentioned ellagic acid, and I have since researched it a bit. I recommend doing that.
I find it terribly interesting that top researchers find a connection with candida and cancer, and these berries(and tea and chocolate) with ellagic and gallic acid happen to be antifungal, and also happen to be called a “fake cancer cure that people should avoid” see. Interesting,eh?
