Thanks so much for the quick reply. Please see my responses below:
Have you had any testing done to see whether your thyroid or liver enzyme levels are low or irregular?
November Test: Liver (albumin) was 4.9 (high), which normal range was 3.2-4.8. I don’t believe we checked thryoid then but I’ll go back and look.
February Test: Liver (albumin) was 4.4 (normal), which normal range was 3.5-5.0. Amylace was 33.0 (low), which normal range was 25.0-125.0. Free T3 (Thyroid) was 2.7 (normal), which normal range was 1.7-3.5.
April Test: Results coming this week.
Have you been eating any kefir or greek yogurt?
No. I just learned about these from the website. Should I look to add these into my gameplan? I did try Goat yogurt a few times last week, but it gave me a little stomach irritation so I stopped eating it.
What probiotic are you currently taken and how many billions per day are you taking?
When I started this journey back in March of 2011, my doctor at the time had me on HMF Neuro. Since November, I have been alternating between Renew Life 50 billion, Renew Life 24 billion, Swanson’s 66 billion, and Pro-Thera’s 3 billion. I just ordered Dr. Ohhira’s and am waiting for it to arrive.
Have you done any adrenal fatigue tests?
Only kinesiology testing from two chiropractors. What type of adrenal testing did you have done?
Additionally, I am wondering if you’ve tried acupuncture?
No, I haven’t. Unfortunately since the beginning of April 2012, I haven’t felt well enough to do any more than go to the bathroom and then come back and lay in bed. I’ve been pretty sedentary for the last month and a half. If I could get a little energy boost to be able to leave the house for a bit, I’d love to give it a shot.
I’ll definitely take a look into all the information that you provided as I have the energy. I appreciate your help and I know that you’ve been a huge blessing to many people on the forums. Thanks so much!

I think that there are a few things going on that are greater than just candida itself; it sounds like some of your symptoms are related to possible individual organs being slightly damaged. For instance, the frequent urination could be tied to your thyroid or liver (mine improved once I started to heal my liver specifically). Have you had any testing done to see whether your thyroid or liver enzyme levels are low or irregular?
Dr. Mcombs feels that anyone who has ever taken antibiotics has a flora gut imbalance, and I think that this is partially true. Have you been eating any kefir or greek yogurt? What probiotic are you currently taken and how many billions per day are you taking? I would consider trying out HMF neuro which is the only probiotic that contains human micro flora; it can attach to your intestinal walls better than any other probiotic. I would consider trying this out to see if you notice any improvement.
Have you done any adrenal fatigue tests? Mine showed low levels of adrenals but it didn’t show that I had adrenal fatigue. By snacking more often and chewing my food more, these simple changes did improve my own personal low adrenal level problem. If you can figure out which hormone levels are low, you can address this problem with specific supplements.
I would also consider trying out juniper berry extract (or related juniper supplements) to see whether some of your ailments improve, I have a post about it and its benefits here:
Additionally, I am wondering if you’ve tried acupuncture? I highly recommend it for getting the body to rebalance itself in a variety of ways; many of your symptoms could improve by doing acupuncture alone. It does so many good things for healing the body I can’t even begin to get into its benefit. It can greatly help with your anxiety, stress, irratibility (all of these are tied to the liver FYI), urinary problems, digestion, etc.
After rereading things, I highly suspect that your liver needs some help. The only thing you’ve listed to help your liver is a liver detox and this likely is not good enough.
This last week we had a post about biofilms on the forum, and I would look into this as much as possible. I think its the key to fighting this sucker off. Fermented cod liver oil, SF722 undecenoic acid, digestive enzymes, and a few other supplements are effective for destroying biofilms. I noticed a big improvement once I started a regimen that addressed this specfically and had an “aha” moment today thinking about how it changed me for the better.
Hope this helps!
