Thanks so much for taking the time to reply! It’s nice to know there’s someone else on here that can relate. I too am thankful that they are young and they have no problems with a healthy diet. They have been eating healthy most of their lives so really it’s just a way of life for them. I’m hoping they won’t have the same struggles I have when they get older because they are so young now. I’m pretty strict with their diet and when they ask for a cookie or something sweet I try to make something that fits into the candida diet. We’ve been doing homemade yogurt for several months and we just started the kefir about a week or two ago and they love it! I blend it with a few stevia drops and frozen blueberries and they drink it up! It definitely seems to be helping with their digestive systems. My 4 year old who has always struggled bad with constipation still is not going every day but she is definitely going way more than she was. My almost 3 year old has always struggled more with diarrhea and tummy aches and she is going less frequently now and doesn’t complain about her tummy hurting anymore.
They’ve started eating quinoa and cream of buckwheat and that has helped vary their diet a lot. We had been grain free for about a year prior to this and relying a lot on coconut flour and almond flour until they started having issues with nuts. I don’t like having to restrict their fruits so much but whenever we venture out from green apples, blueberries, and grapefruit they start having symptoms again. I do think though that since they are so young it won’t be long before I can add some more fruits in. They do great with vegetables too so I’m thankful for that. They really like stevia and we just tried yacon syrup today. I do feel confident that they’re getting what they need though…they’re growing and developing very well. They really are taking this whole thing very well, I just hate that they have to deal with this!
Thank you so much for your encouragement!
