Hello Doggie,

Most of your symptoms sound like candida overgrowth. The only way to know for certain is to try out the diet and see if you experience “die off symptoms.” These symptoms are very similar to having the flu/cold and its generally a worse feeling than you currently feel now. It can be quite debilitating.

I would examine your diet and ask yourself why you have food cravings!? I mean, why do you crave sugar, sweets, chocolate, etc? Its the candida asking to be fed and this is likely why you have an overgrowth.

I would examine why you think you got here and how your current diet has made you ill. If you are not eating many veggies, salads, etc…you will have a lifetime of poor health; I would look at your diet as cause and effect. If you eat nothing but hamburgers, ice cream, etc…what kind of effect do you think this will have on the body? What if you ate nothing but veggies and healthy foods? You are what you eat, and this can be a literal connection for a lot of people.

As far as picky eating problems…I have this as well so I can relate. Luckily many of the foods on the diet are similar to what you normally can eat; oat bran is similar to oatmeal, buckwheat is similar to rice, pumpkin pie muffin bread tastes like pumpkin pie! Discovering foods that make you feel good is essential for everyone and if you notice you feel bad after eating junk, there could be a good reason for this…

There is a whole world of healthy foods out there that make you feel good with little consequence…and they actually taste OK. Stevia is a great sweetener and can replace sugar. Eating your way to good health will be a major part of your protocol.
