I forgot to mention problems further up the GI tract. Poor chewing, low stomach acid, lack of digestive enzymes etc will all cause problems further along (bloating, flatulence, overgrowth of pathogens etc). Limiting your diet simplifies your gut flora. Allergies are a concern, so it’s a bit of a catch-22, but unless you’re getting typical allergy symptoms like hives and whatnot, I’d focus more on boosting your gut flora and improving your digestion. Most intolerances will resolve themselves after you do this anyway.
