I avoided stage one because when I have done a cleanse before I get really bad diarrhea were I really cannot leave my house. Also I exercise a lot and I need protein to be able to keep this up. The diet would not really allow me to carry on with my busy work and family life.
I am eating only vegetables and protein from the list of foods allowed at stage two. The only grain I have had is quinoa which I make into a porridge for my breakfast every morning using almond milk. The proteins I have had are eggs, chicken, nuts (almonds, pine nuts, pecan nuts, brazils), pumpkin seeds.
I am really scared of attempting stage one and I sure I read somewhere on this site it is ok to go straight to stage two if you lifestyle makes stage one too difficult. Unfortunately I cannot find it right now.
