The seven day cleanse was the worst part of this for me. I did get very weak and felt very sick. I would definitely schedule it for a time that you aren’t going to be needing a lot of energy or concentration!
As far as supplements go, I am in stage 2 of this diet. I am taking Candex, Oil of Oregano, Grapefruit seed extract, Olive leaf extract, Cayenne pepper (super hot), aloe vera juice, alka max (to help get my body into balance as I have found I’m very acidic), and three lac probiotic. Oh, and a herbal colon cleanse to help with the constipation. My nutritionist told me that temporarily, it is important to cleanse my system of the die off. I won’t be staying on the cleanse after this phase. I also take vitamins including 1500mg of Vit C per day. I still have another 2 1/2 weeks of stage 2 and I plan on very gradually introducing some foods back into my diet but I doubt that I will ever go back to my old diet of white bread, sugar, and diet sodas. Not that I ever went overboard, but I feel so much better now that I wouldn’t want to go back to eating the way I used to eat.
An FYI. I went to a specialist on Infectious diseases last week that told me that my candida was dead and I should go back to my regular diet with sugar and white bread and forget all this candida nonsense. I still have a bad case of thrush but he said it was just residual and would go away soon (no guess as to when). He wouldn’t give me any more antifungals as I have taken way too many to get over this thrush and vaginal yeast issues.
Anyway, I left there really ticked off! Here the doctors have not helped me at all. I can definitely tell a reduction in my thrush since doing this program. There is no way I’m quitting now! So stick with it! If I can do it you can! I have been dealing with this stuff for months. I am only just now noticing an improvement.
And again, yes, I believe the 7 day cleanse is what got my body to start getting back in balance. Do it! Good luck and let me know how it goes!
