Interesting…..I will do more research into Nystatin resisitance. I have access to all the medical journals. I wouldn’t say my doctor doesn’t know what he is talking about or doesn’t know how to cure me. Succeptabilty for aquired fungal overgrowth can be a genetic facter. I am 100% positive it runs in my family.
When one looks back at human history – there have been surely great moments – but also terrible ones. We have no more knowledge now than when humans first started. Yes – maybe more – but it is a moving bar – not a constant finish line that is static and someday we will know everything there is to know….. There is still much to know and learn. I don’t think we are even close to knowing everything about this horrible illness. Nystatin and Diflucan are both extrememly powerful drugs. Do we know all that they do? I hope for your sake you are right. I hope Nystatin will work forever for you. Me and myself – I don’t think I even want to go back to eating all that junk. I’m pretty happy eating what I’m eating. But then I’m a simple girl. 🙂
