I have read up on this and it seems this is a horrible ingredient. it is a preservative but they say its awesome. but it isnt. thats the FDA saying that. never believe the FDA. but it is not good...so always avoid any item with carrageenan in it.
I even search thru my dog foods for this. i wont buy if it has it in there.
Thanks,
DoggieMama

I have some Nori, which I think is like seaweed wrap (what is used to wrap sushi), does this mean it is in this (as the article mentioned its sourced from seaweed)?

Disappointed if so, was craving chicken fajita's the other day & thought I could make a oriental style chicken wrap with that, pak choy & some other greens.

benc, i think the seaweed is different. i myself take kelp..which is seaweed and good for you. it may be the way they make the carrageenan. you can probably google and find alot of info on carrageenan. thats how i am learning about all these ingredients. also i have a researched for my dogs on it and it has been labeled as not a good ingredient...

so seaweeed good..carrageenan not..thats my opinion anyway.
Thanks,
DoggieMama
