Hello Able, My doctor said that molybdenum will remove too many of the minerals from my body such as iron, calcium, and other metal related minerals. Hi, Raster.

Maybe your doctor doesn't understand is that molybdenum is a mineral itself, an essential trace mineral found naturally in the human body, and normally it would be unnatural for one essential mineral to interfere with another essential mineral that's needed by the body.

Just so that you're aware, one of the very few known overdoses of Molybdenum happened when a small number of Armenians were consuming 10 to 15 milligrams (mg) of Molybdenum on a daily basis from their food source. Eventually some of the Armenians developed mild cases of gout.
That's 10,000 to 15,000 mcg's or 40 to 60 molybdenum pills a day for a sustained and long length of time. That's 40 to 60 times my recommendation for using molybdenum to lessen die-off symptoms which is 250 mcg three times a day. That's 3 pills a day only while the symptoms are at their worse which is often only a week or two and then 1 or 2 a day maintenance until the die-off symptoms completely disappear, which if the patient does as they should in the way of a treatment, shouldn't be more than a month of two at the most. The only way it should be longer is if the patient were eating the incorrect foods, therefore feeding the Candida and allowing them to repopulate and then destroying them over and over again.

An overdose of calcium at which point symptoms began is reported to be a dosage of any amount above 2500 mg, if we're talking about 3,000 mg, that's just 3 times the daily recommended amount. The ultimate symptom of a calcium overdose is a coma; makes one wonder why a doctor would believe a molybdenum supplement is any more dangerous than calcium when it comes to too much.

Hey jenny, I just wanted to say that you're not alone, I'm going through the exact same thing. I'll stick to the diet for 3 days, and then eat a huuugeee sugary meal ( a giant fruit smoothie with honey). This has been going on for 2 weeks now, and I feel like I'm stuck because something just keeps pulling me back!
I think we just have to power through it and accept that life may be miserable the first two-three weeks until we start to resonate with life again. I find that fearing a miserable 2 weeks makes it a lot more difficult and more likely to run for the chocolate than accepting 2 weeks of misery.
I'm starting a journal too! Is yours on this site? I would love to read your progress

Somebody mentioned nuts and seeds having mould and not being an ideal candida food. My candida diet was going to consist of nuts, seeds, vegetables and non sweet fruit (lemons, avocado, cucumber). Do I have to eliminate nuts and seeds to eliminate my candida?? That just leaves me.. vegetables and non sweet fruit? ;/ I mean I might as well do a juice fast in that case?????.... /SIGH!

Sorry, why is it you can’t eat eggs? Organic eggs work fine with the Candida diet.
If you can’t eat them, yogurt and kefir have lots of protein. You can make kefir at home for a better quality, and purchase Organic Non-sweetened Greek Yogurt to eat.

If you have to eat nuts, eat almonds, they contain fewer molds, supposedly. Lots of people soak them in water overnight, but if you soak many at one time, they’ll develop mold again if they aren’t eaten quickly or dried after soaking, such as in an oven.

Thanks Able
Unfortunately I'm allergic to both eggs and dairy, so I can't include them in my diet. That's why I was going to go to nuts and seeds for calories

Thank god you mention almonds being okay, I just picked some up. I read that the cashews, peanuts and pistachios are the ones that often contain mould. But the nuts/seeds that I'm eating are pumpkin, almonds, sunflower and sesame... I didn't think those ones would. I'll do the soaking when I eat them from now. Thanks for the information!

sorry for kind of hijacking your thread! lol

Hello, and no problem about the thread.
I hope the nuts work out as far as enough proteins. You can also eat oat bran or even rice bran flour.

You can purchase kefir grains and make kefir out of coconut milk or goat's milk if you'd like to try that.

Hi Jenny,

You are not alone, and I know how you feel. I have known conciously that my diet has been poor - full of sweets, coffee, alcohol, and carbs. About 6 months ago, I quit smoking, and since then, I have been emotionally eating to cope with stress/loneliness. It is a sad fact, but it is true. I would buy a piece of cake, or chocolate, or cookies to make me feel good, but then instanteously, I would regret it.

Not until recently did I decide to take contorl of my life. For a few months now I ahve had skin irritatiosn all over my body, and itchy/red eyes about 6 different times. My cravings were so hard to deny, and often I would just eat. One night, I couldn't stop scratching myself, and the next day I started reading on cleanses.

Don't jump in to a cleanse. You have to be mentally ready to change your life. I personally emailed all of my friends, and told them about my condition, and my plan for a cleanse. I asked them all to understand, and be aware that I would not be attending dinners out, etc. You have to make the choice that you want to get better. Like I had, I had known for a while, but I kept abusing my body, until it got so bad and I couldn't take it anymore - I knew I had to make a change.

I started the Diet last Monday, and was doing excpetionally well sticking to it. Once you are aware of what is in your food, and what it does to your own body, you won't want the bad stuff as much becaus you know how it will make you feel. And in exchange, you won't miss it either.

I worked as a pastry chef for 6 months, and naturally, chocoalte is my favourite food. I love culinary arts and I love food in general. But it is important to be aware of why you love food. Is it the art? or is it an addiction?

I hope this makes you feel a bit better. Stay strong, and if you keep slipping up, I'd say it is because you are not mentally and emotionally prepared to change your life. You shouldn't have to force yourself to, you should conscioulsy be aware of your changes to lifestyle, and proud of it. Take your time, it will come.

Hi Jenny - I am a licensed manicurist and wanted to tell you about a great product that I recommend to my clients for their fungus infected nails. It is a tincture spray that you can use twice a day . The brand is Foot Logics. The products were originally designed for diabetic people. It is safe and easy to use. You can spray it on nails with or without polish. I have seen the worst cases become completely healthy. Lots of people don't treat their fungus nails mainly because it doesn't hurt or they don't look at their nails, but it only grows if left untreated. This is a better solution to the often prescribed lamisol which is a pill which requires you to be tested every month for organ problems. If you would like to try this product and cant find it, I would be happy to send you some - we always stock it in our spa.

winemom, I believe you're talking about a brand called "Footlogix" -- as I think this is the way it's spelled.

Thanks, Able

Hi Jenny!

You have to get out of that whole "I have to eat to be around my friends" thing. I realize this post is a bit older, but even before I went on the diet, I would go to the movies with family and not eat the popcorn (a tub usually has enough sat fat in it for the whole week lol) or sodas (the instantly dehydrate me) and I didn''t make excuses. Didn't explain myself, got water and politely declines "bites" from anybody.

Your choices are your own! Likewise, going out with friends. I almost NEVER do, but when I did on NYE, I saw a bunch of old friends who were drinking to celebrate! Since I wasn't on the diet (then, I thought I was cured lol) I had A COUPLE of drinks, nothing like them. I actually was standing in a club drinking water! But even though I tired out early, and did go home before all of them, they all called or texted the next day and said thanks for coming out. And invited me out again!

I would have no problem going to a restaurant and ordering vegetarian to keep clear of tainted meats, water with lemon to avoid alcohol, and ending the night feeling better about my choices. Your friends will just think you're trying to lose weight lol

Jenny,
Keep strong. :D I am sorry that doctors and people in your life have not believe you. This tends to happen with this sickness. We believe you! If you need support I am always here to chat.
